10-11.5 cm, sexes similar. Grey head with a black eye streak. “Theoretically” present throughout the year in reed beds and riparian woods, now very rare as breeding species, relatively common during wintering. It builds a characteristic nest like a flask with a hanging access tube, whence the name of the species. The nest is built in willow trees.
