Bucephala clangula

Bucephala clangula (local names: moro, moreto, quatro oci) 40-48 cm, the male with a black head and characteristic white patch below the eyes. Present during wintering and migration, its frequents the sea off the low coast and the more open parts of the lagoons. The lower course of the Isonzo is also frequented by the species.
